Much best than the Garmin OEM Windshield Mount,
I bought the Garmin Nuvi 350 in Development ’07. I’m an occasional GPS user and not a road fighter. The Garmin mount was sub-standard in each way compared to the Arkon develop. The Garmin mount would constantly lose suction and fall from the windshield (I had to loop the potential cord around the rearview mirror so that when it did fall it would be dangling and not thump on the dashboard/floor).
I have not used the glue disk from any Garmin or Arkon for dash mounting.

|The one Garmin SHOULD have made,
I bought this to use with my Garmin Nuvi 360. The mount that came with it was nothing but a problem. It kept falling off the windshield especially all owing to hot ride out. When it would hit the dash it would release and launch my GPS into the air. Finally the ancient Garmin mount ruined. I bought this one to exchange it and haven’t looked back. It is a much sturdier point and feels more lasting. Well worth the fee.

The Arkon TravelMount keeps my Nuvi affixed to my car’s windshield. The have a give of Garmin mount does not. Any questions?
The Arkon unit is well designed, well made, practically priced and simple to use.
Garmin should be ashamed that such a critical spot of their harvest’ usability is crippled by their own equipment. Garmin should source the Arkon mount. Best to lose a few dollars in profit than to lose customers. I had very nearly agreed up on by my Nuvi in my car!
