I had a small but noticeable dent in the fender and I wanted a low-cost way to frequently fix it before committing to a full body shop. Dent King can do some jobs, but not all. For what it does, it’s a sweet excellent manufactured goods. If you fall into the category where it can help, it’s worth it.

It’s a “do it yourself” dent renovate kit for your car. It “pulls” dents back out and is a honestly excellent key for dents that ONLY require pulling “back out”. This includes door and shopping cart dings you’d get in a parking lot. It has to be insignificant, no larger than a grapefruit, and only flashy dent destruction to a metal panel where here is NO crinkle. It does not take up scratches.

The ultimate dent for the Dent King to renovate is destruction from a frank differ, like a rounded plastic corner of a shopping car dinged the middle of your door and left an cut that is small, did not cause creases, not on a crinkle.

Sterile the surface with the built-in cleaner, which smells like regular rubbing alcohol. Usaully I avoid informercial harvest like the plague, any thing that desires that much influential can’t be worth the fee. Though, I was desperate to cut costs and bought one of these at public sale. They run $8-19.50 plus shipping but can be had new for $17.50 plus shipping. I paid $8 +.

The infomercial says equipment like show room new, and I infer that may be right under lab situation with only fastidious kinds of dents. Here are my consequences.

Two dents at the start in this area size of grapefruit shallow with two points (small sharp dings) additional large cucumber deeper with two points. Ding king will not work on points. At the start dent popped out splendid on at the start try, charming with no waves, even the points were less pronounced only visible on close inspection. On the foothold of that alone, it was well worth the cost. Second dent was less nourishing but that may be due to practice. The tool removed the dent but some waving visible but may be missed on cursury inspection. Was able to reduce one of the points with the knockdown tool but still visible. Maybe if I had worked from outter edges more at a snail’s pace (interval wise) the waving would not be here. This dent took in this area 10-12 trys. This dent was also the nominal amount promising of renovate considering depth, width and part. Even so, I may go back and try removing the waving with less vital applications of glue. Sterile up took considerable try and lots of Ding King key (ie. Alcohol), not exactly like the infomercial any.

End… The repairs do NOT look show room new but certainly left vehicle looking a lot best and saleable. The Ding King will not work on sharp edged dents, it says so in the directions but don’t dredge up the infomercial saying so. So beware. The Ding King key is just green alcohol, substitution glue brushwood are disgracefully expensive but… considering cost/benefit… worth it. So it makes a usefull addition to the garage tool kit.
