Splendid Access Amount Unit, May 2, 2010
    By
This assess is from: JVC KD-HDR40 CD Receiver with Built-In HD Radio Tuner, Front AUX Input, and Bluetooth/Satellite Radio add-on capability (Electronics)

I just bought one of these units at a community commercial and so far so excellent! I just wanted something low-cost and simple to upgrade my factory stereo. I wanted bluetooth but here are too many head units that have dreadful bluetooth capabilities so I unbendable to go without (I may add the superfluous unit shortly on this one).

This unit is equipped with a 7 band EQ as well as a subwoofer amount control, both are MUST haves in my book. So far after one day I am very satisfied with the sound feature! Bracing Highs and zero distortion that I can hear. I have been out of the car audio game for in this area 10 being now so I was dense going in and for $125 I wasn’t in the family tree way much but I must say I am pleasantly suprised! I still have my factory get out of speakers in and also superfluous a 12″ Orion Sub/Amp in the trunk. The menu’s can be a bit tough but after only one day (2 hours) I reflect I have them down pat. If you’re looking for something simple for an up-grade to your unfilled factory tunes I would certainly urge this unit. A Kenwood deck with similar facial appearance goes for very nearly $100 more and I can’t see that here would be that much of a difference in sound and I’m not looking to infiltrate any sound competitions anytime soon. Underside line: if you are looking for an upgrade from the factory head unit (junk) installed by the manufacturer..for the fee, this head unit is a go quietly!

This is my at the start substitution radio experience and I did a lot of research to exchange the stereo in my 1998 Subaru Impreza. I wanted something that had HD and a simple AUX input for my iPod. The JVC KD-HDR40 fit impeccably into the dash by the unfilled factory sleeve. Since it was my at the start self bed in, the only thing that took A LOT of time was construction the new wire use. If I had to do it over again, I would zip owing to that administer but the at the start time was a challenge for me. I used a substitution use that was specifically designed to be spliced between the new stereo and the factory wires and after that part was finished it went in simple. The HD signal locks in very quick with virtually no lag and while the controls are not intuitive, they can be figured out honestly basically. The instructions are not as apparent as I would like but I was able to get my pet stations preset after some trial and miscalculation. Then I exposed that the presets can be surfed just by clicking the up and down arrows aptly next to the quick forward and back buttons. Not too terrible although it would be nice to have dyed-in-the-wool preset buttons. Not a con BUT the sight is super bright at night. Even on the decrease setting it drowns out my AC/Warmer control illumination. I do like the large knob that controls number and the selections inside the menu but it doubts me that the plastic notes might snap off over time. By and large, Splendid sound owing to the factory speakers, clad controls and HD at a honest fee. I urge!

WOW! HD RADIO FOR LESS THAN $100, August 22, 2010
    By
This assess is from: JVC KD-HDR40 CD Receiver with Built-In HD Radio Tuner, Front AUX Input, and Bluetooth/Satellite Radio add-on capability (Electronics)

I have been listening to my crappy ancient factory get out of ram 1500 car stereo system for the past 8 being thought Oh! it dont sound so terrible, (Man was I ill-treat!) One night I was on the Amazon web site and noticed they had many car receivers for under $100 bucks so I figured what the heck! I will go yet to be and buy one, I did some research / read a few reviews and unbendable on the JVC KD-HDR40
I bought the installation kit with wiring use/mast adapter custom made my car for around $22, (this made the bed in much simpler.) I had the ancient head unit out and the new one hooked up in less than 30 synopsis, I also bought a set of Rockford Fosgte P1S652 arrange 6.5 speakers to exchange the ancient factory paper cone 6 x 9′s in the doors and a link of JBL GTO series 5.25″ for the rear.
What a difference! Receiver greeting and cd playback is crystal apparent and bracing with splendid mid array bass, Signal greeting is much best than factory, I like the 7 band equalizer, Aux/Ipod input, remote control and the built in HD receiver,I cant reconcile how much best the HD stations sound over the non-HD.
Some reviewers have complained that the KD-HDR series receivers are tiresome to program and should have preset station buttons. Personally this hasnt been a major come forth with me, surrounded by 10 synopsis I was able to program my presets and all additional settings.
Presets buttons doubtless would have been nice to have but the remote makes varying between stations a breeze.
All in all the JVC KD-HDR40 is a very levelheaded head unit and I would highly urge it to anyone.

Sorry to say, we have had to use the Ad Aid numerous times. In all hand baggage we were able to chat our ad tires without having to unload our horses on a busy throughway. It’s a must have.
