|Brighter than OEM Bulbs for sure,
I own 2005 Mazda MPV, while it’s been gently used, I notice the headlight bulbs have be converted into dimmer so I got these philips bulbs as a substitution for. They draw 67 watts, brighter and not the fake hid blue-ish (which will be harder to see all owing to drizzling days), these are slightly whiter. I also compared with additional newer cars, my car now has the brighter headlights. I will certainly search for these bulbs for my fogs and I will be ordering them soon. $10 Mfr. rebate is an icing on the cake!

I was very satisfied with this manufactured goods. I bought them to exchange nighthawk bulbs that only lasted a year and was surprised by their brightness. They do what they say. The set alight is whiter than traditional bulbs, but only slightly. They do seem to be brighter and grant brilliant side road lighting as well. I have had vex with fleeting headlight lifespan, having had silverstar bulbs for 2009 and nighthawk bulbs for 2010, each lasting only a year. I reflect they are all bright, but hope this will lasted longer than the others. I have to say that these do seem to grant best side explanation than the silverstar or nighthawk. I am not sure if this is even possible, but it does seem that way to me.

When I bought my BMW, I had to opt for the HID illumination since they are just awe-inspiring. At the start thing I questioned the dealer was how much they would cost to exchange when the bulbs went out. The dealer said “They don’t break,” which in BMW-foreign language earnings you will weep when they do.
Quick forward to five being shortly, my car starts to show the “Pink eye” which is what HIDs show before the bulb goes out. I call BMW and they want two-hundred and fifty smackers for the substitution bulb. Wow. No thankfulness. I jump onto Amazon and search for “Sylvania D2S HID” which is sweet much what was on paper on the HID bulb I pulled out from my car. Low and consider, one-fifth the fee!
When it came in the next day I popped it in and bam, it works just fine. Looks EXACTLY the same too, same affect like (4100-4300K I am guessing). Not the street racer blue, street-illegal material you commonly see on the internet.
I win, BMW loses, and Amazon rocks!

OMG … I like Amazon even more now. If you need a substitution D2S HID Xenon bulb, get it here! At at the start I was a modest apprehensive whether this was the aptly bulb.
One of my headlights went dark, but it was rose-painted before that. So I wasn’t sure if the problem was even a result of the bulb versus the ballasts or the ignitor … But after dependability a modest internet research a propos the “pink eye” syndrome (Google it) … its where your headlights turn rose-painted / purplish before they really burn out, and taking a leap of belief … I unbendable to chat out the bulb on my own. I’m sure the dealer would have exciting me an arm and a leg. I did call a community BMW dealer who wanted approx. $250 for just ONE bulb. My jaw very nearly dropped. So here comes excellent ol’ Amazon who has the same like peas in a pod bulb plotted for a modest over $50.
I questioned how the same exact bulb could be dramatically less than what the dealer was charging. From previous experience I know the dealer does scratch you, but this is additional than highway robbery … so the plotting that maybe the bulb was uncommon did infiltrate my mind, but a previous reviewer wrote that it was OEM. Sure ample, the bulb twisted out to be the exact same Osram (operates as Sylvania in U.S.) Xenarc “made in Germany” decorated xenon bulb #66040 that my original BMW had.
After I hooked all up, I was back in affair … so as it turns out, it was a burnt bulb after all. The job took in this area 15 synopsis … if you’re unfamiliar with how to swap the bulb out, try out out some of the videos on YouTube a propos how to chat out HID bulbs, its a modest bit more work than the habitual bulbs. |Bulbs burning out after only 8 months!,
I bought a set of these in December 2009 to exchange my ~7 year ancient HID’s. They have been splendid in anticipation of a few days ago, when one of them ongoing turning pink (the divulging sign that the bulb is in this area to go out). The description claims they last 3 times longer than halogen bulbs. I don’t know whether I got a defective bulb or what, but 8 months cannot be the mean time between failures for these. I cannot find warranty information everyplace, so I will friend Sylvania & Amazon for a fix, but as a cynical consumer, I am not optimistic. At any rate, not lucky with this buy.

Sylvania answered to my note and are shipping a substitution bulb. Splendid consumer benefit so far.
